An FIR has been registered against TVK's Karur district secretary, Mr. Madhiyazhagan, under four sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for issues including a lack of preparation, as lakhs of people gathered against an expected 10,000. In the aftermath, Vijay is reported to be missing from the scene after posting on Twitter, allegedly barricading himself in his Chennai house. Meanwhile, M.K. Stalin visited the injured in the hospital and announced a relief of 10 lakh rupees for the families of the deceased and 1 lakh for the injured.
