This video showcases a customized Ibanez RGDMS8-CSM multi-scale guitar featuring Graph Tech upgrades: PS-8000-00 white TUSQ saddles (custom 8-string set) and a Graph Tech nut custom-made from PT-4025-00 Black TUSQ XL blank. Fun facts: Daddo uses a unique tuning called "High A" on his 8-string guitars. Unlike traditional 8-string tuning (two extra lower strings), this tuning features one lower string (typically the low B) and one higher string above the regular high E - the high A string. In Daddo's final solo run, during which he demonstrates an A-dominant 7 arpeggio, he starts from the lowest possible note (drop A in this song) and ends with a C# note on the "fretted Fishman Fluence neck pickup", which is the highest possible pitch on this modified Ibanez RGDMS8-CSM multi-scale 8-string guitar. This is a solo section from "Light in the Dark" by Daddo's band, “Oversoul Frequency”, which is available on various digital platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, and as a video: • Oversoul Frequency - "Light in the Dark" Gear: Custom modified Ibanez RGDMS8-CSM multi-scale guitar (27.1” – 25.5”) with the “high A” tuning and scalloped neck Pickups: Fishman Fluence Modern D'Addario Strings Graph Tech PS-8000-00 white TUSQ saddles (8-string set) Graph Tech nut made from PT-4025-00 Black TUSQ XL blank Friedman IR-X preamp for the solo section Bogren Digital “AmpKnob BDH 5169” plugin with Bogren Digital IR for the rhythm guitars Bogren Digital “BassKnob STD” plugin for the bass sound Drums played by Kosta Delitheos All other instruments played and composed by Daddo GuitarFethish custom volume knob Professional installation of Graph Tech parts: Adam @Mada Guitars Feel free to post any Graph Tech product questions in the comment section below.
