Chapel: 01-31-22: Russ Howell

Professor Howell graduated from Wheaton College, earned his doctorate in mathematics at The Ohio State University, and completed a Master of Science in computer science at the University of Edinburgh. He was twice honored with Westmont’s Teacher of the Year award. He has lived and worked abroad (Korea, Scotland, England), and was a leader for Westmont’s Europe and Mexico semesters. He is co-author of Complex Analysis for Mathematics and Engineering (2012), and co-editor and contributor to Mathematics Through the Eyes of Faith (2011) and Mathematics in a Postmodern Age: A Christian Perspective (2001). A piano player, he also enjoys tennis, ocean kayaking, and hiking.
