British Railways OO gauge Four Track Upper Level re-opens. Very Long Views Black 5 Engineers Train.

The layout has been undergoing a transformation for the last four weeks and therefore no new videos. The initial design of Trenholme Junction never included a fiddle yard. My idea was to have all the rolling stock 'in view', as in real life and to this end lots of carriage sidings and marshalling yards to store the vehicles. Additional stock has been added to over the last couple of years and although some 'out of the area' old vehicles have been retired, there's not enough physical room on the layout to add more capacity. To this end I have relented and built a lower baseboard underneath the existing, with a long ramp and currently twelve long sidings. A further five will be added soon. Most of the rolling stock had been 'parked on the Upper Level. Moving it for videoing was too much of a chore and that's why I've not made any from this angle for quite a while. Now the new facility is in place the Upper Level is now back as a running entity. This is a short video, for those who've never seen it running, of a Black 5 with an engineers train making a final inspection before the route is officially re-opened. A video of the storage facility will be finished shortly including testing the 40 odd feet ramp during and after construction.
