Vintage LWT Idents 1986-1989 - TV History Watch the classic LWT endcaps with copyright disclaimer from August 1986 to August 1989. Take a trip down memory lane with these iconic television logos! As you may know, some of these logos or end caps are rare, and some aren't. 00:00 Intro. Used from August 29th as an intro to LWT-produced programmes such as Dempsey & Makepeace (series 3) or Beadles About (series 1). Also used to plaster over repeated LWT shows that were originally broadcast before 1986. Examples are Russ Abbot's Summer Madhouse (29th June 1985) or series 2 or 3 of Please Sir. This logo may appear on VHS or original broadcast recordings from the end credits of Dempsey & Makepeace (series 3) or Blind Date (series 2). 01:00 1986. Quite rare because this end cap only exists on very few LWT shows like Beadles About (series 1) or Live From Her Majesty's. This logo did appear on series 1 of The Two of Us during the first broadcast. However, subsequent repeats have this logo plastered now. 02:00 1987. Should exist on most shows such as Blind Date, Surprise, Surprise, Live From Her Majesty's, It'll be Alright on Christmas Night (original version), etc. 03:00 1988. Same as 1987. Debut of Hale & Pace, You Bet (may have the 1987 logo due to early recording), and Wish Me Luck. 04:00 1989. Quite rare because I've only seen this on a few shows, such as Brian Conley, This Way Up and Surprise, Surprise, So there you have it. Enjoy. #'lwtidents #londonweekendtv #itvlondon #itv #itvcontinuity
