Vietnamese Style Caramelized Pork INGREDIENTS 1 tbsp vegetable cooking oil 1/2 cup chopped white onion 2 tbsp minced ginger 3 cloves minced garlic 1 lb ground pork 2 pcs chopped Thai chili or red chili 5 tbsp brown sugar 2 tbsp fish sauce 1 tbsp chopped onion chives tomato and cucumber for garnish INSTRUCTIONS 1. Heat the oil in a pan. Add the onion, ginger, and garlic then saute for 2-3 minutes. 3. Add the pork mince and cook until the meat breaks up. 4. Add chili then add fish sauce and sugar. Stir then leave it to cook without touching it until the pork starts caramelized. Then stir it and leave it again without stirring for more caramelization. Repeat twice or more until desired caramelization. 5. Serve over hot rice with tomato and cucumber.
