This is BlondeKyiv and today we will explore the local market in Kyiv. Subscribe my channel Blonde Kyiv PATREON: / blondekyiv FACEBOOK: / tanyafionaa INSTAGRAM: @tanya_fiona / tanya_fiona Hello! This is Blonde Kyiv. Today, I’m in the cheapest market in Kyiv on the left bank. You will find prices in the center are higher than in this area. My goal is to show you the areas with prices for locals, not tourist areas with higher prices. The Darnitsky market is a local market where you can buy everyday items, including items from local babushkas (grannies). Today’s exchange rate is $1 US for 27.5 grivna. -Dates are 10 grivna, or 36 cents US. -Dried apricots are 20 grivna, or 72 cents. -This bag of mixed nuts (cashews, almonds and hazelnuts) is 80 grivna, or two dollars 90 cents. -Avocado hass for 40 grivna, one dollar 45 cents for one piece. -Strawberries 100 givna, three dollars sixty four cents. Sharon 50 grivna, one dollar eighty two cents. -Bananas from 20 grivna per kilo, or seventy two cents. I love the atmosphere of this market. People are talking and sharing some information, selling goods and produce. It's really fun. Today our local grannies cooked and are selling porridge called “Kutia” in the market. Or they sell the ingredients to make this yourself. The 6th of January is Christmas Eve in Ukraine. Traditionally, 12 dishes will be served on the table this evening. One of the main dishes is Kutia. Here is cauliflower for 20 grivna for one kilogram.
