The unique cylindrical space at Monopol Berlin demanded a highly symmetrical installation. Eight laser projectors were evenly positioned around the perimeter at the same height and precisely aligned towards a single point in the center. Created and realised by Moritz Hilscher and Michael Sollinger, Étude was presented to the guests on 11 October 2025 during the 40th anniversary celebrations of LaserAnimation Sollinger at Monopol Berlin. The work explores the aesthetic and perceptual possibilities of such a setup, focusing on Moiré patterns, geometric symmetry and the sculptural qualities of laser light. PHAENON accurate laser projectors manufactured by LaserAnimation Sollinger were used for this installation.
