Farmers Should Shift to Oil Palm for Better Profits | Minister Tummala

Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao advised farmers to gradually reduce traditional paddy cultivation and shift towards more profitable crops like oil palm. The minister visited the under-construction Godrej oil palm processing plant in Anjanapuram village of Konijerla mandal in Khammam district along with Wyra MLA Ramdas Naik. During the inspection, officials briefed the minister on the progress of construction works at the Godrej Agrovet facility. Tummala reviewed the project and issued several suggestions to speed up the works. He said crop diversification can help farmers increase their income and that long-term crops like oil palm can be highly profitable for farmers in Telangana.
