With systemic therapies now playing a key role, treatment approaches include adjuvant, peri-operative, and neoadjuvant options, often combined with immunotherapy. Several clinical trials, including the Phase III CheckMate 816 (NCT02998528) and KEYNOTE-671 (NCT03425643) trials, have demonstrated overall survival benefits, highlighting the potential of immunotherapy to reduce recurrence and improve long-term outcomes.
