Fast and Furious Roller Coaster Drifting Concept, Universal Studios Orlando, Florida. Rip Ride Rockit is permanently closing on August 18th, 2025. Here is a replacement Intamin Extreme Spinning roller coaster that fits in the footprint that has been found through permits for a new ride. Rumors are pointing towards an Intamin-manufactured attraction, and it is possible that with the extreme spinning roller coaster coming to Hollywood that Orlando could see itself getting one too. Also using the popular Fast and Furious Franchise, the ride would load at the back of the New York section of the park, opening up the current "Fast" Ride for expansion of London or another IP. #fastandfurious #orlando #universalstudios #ripriderockit The ride features several unique elements and keeps space for the walkway and vehicle backstage under the coaster. Also of note is the sightlines, which can be seen from CityWalk and inside the park at the Concert venue, making it a great backdrop for shows. The special feature is how the ride ends up going backwards halfway through, but riders still face forward thanks to the controlled rotation. Top speed is 69mph at 155 feet tall.
