Electric intensity inside at a point between two oppositely charged metal plates. In the case of metal plates when charge lies on one of its faces the electric field intensity on the other face is zero. In this case, we consider the Gaussian surface in the form of a cuboid. One face of the cuboid lies inside of the two plates and the other face outside of the metal plate. In the situation when we calculate the flux through cuboid the flux will be only due to the bottom face. The flux due to the other five faces will be zero because the surfaces are perpendicular to E. The electric field intensity, in this case, is double the first i.e. in case of a single sheet.
