How to remove chip weld from an endmill - LMSAT Quick Tip

Pushed a job a little too hard and ended up chip welding a brand new $70+ endmill. Rather than scrap it, I decided to experiment with some chemicals to remove the chip weld build-up. I recently used this muriatic acid and hydrogen peroxide solution to do some etching on aluminum (and brass) and thought it would work to eat away the chips welded to the flute. Worked a treat and saved us $70 for a new endmill. I haven't tried it on the CNC yet, but I can't imagine that it effected the quality/strength of the EM due to the Zirconium Nitride coating.
