So Mojang wants to fix Minecraft's inventory problem, but what would it actually take? In this video we learn to understand Minecraft's gameplay loop through the perspective of Thermodynamics and using Entropy to characterise the problem of inventory management. Using detailed historical data from the Hermitcraft series we perform detailed analysis of Minecraft's history and the challenges with keeping the player's inventory organised. By the end of this video, I hope that people will gain a new appreciation for the field of storage technology and start to think critically about the solutions that Mojang provides for the Minecraft community.
