Ford plant closure 'more a shock than a surprise'

Workers at Ford's Southampton plant in the UK react to news their plant and another in Dagenham will be shut, with the loss of 1400 jobs. The company will shut down its Southampton plant, where Transit vans are made and around 500 people are employed. Southampton is the last remaining plant in the UK where Ford makes vehicles. Ford will also end its stamping operation in Dagenham, accounting for the remainder of the job losses.
