I kept them in my arms.” In al-Mawasi refugee camp, displaced families struggle to survive as winter storms threaten to destroy their fragile tents. Heavy rain seeps through nylon sheets while strong winds rip apart their shelters. "We were terrified," one mother says. "My husband, injured, woke up screaming. My son wet himself from fear. We held each other all night, just waiting for morning." The families had returned to Rafah in hopes of rebuilding their lives, only to find their 1neighbourhood reduced to rubble.
