Airway Surgery For Grade 3 Glottic Stenosis & Suprastomal Granulation | Medicover Hospitals Mohamood had a childhood infection when he was two years old. Kind of soft tissue destruction happened because of that infection. The whole nose, mouth cavity, and larynx were affected. When he came to Medicover Hospitals, he had nasal bleeding and developed grade four glottic stenosis. He was put on a tracheostomy tube, and there was a suprastomal granulation as well. There were a few challenges to overcome: 1) To extubate the child so that he can resume breathing through his nose and live without the tracheostomy tube safely 2) To give him back his voice. He got treated under the supervision of Dr. Sampurna Ghosh, Consultant ENT Head-Neck Surgeon at Medicover Hospitals HITEC City. The glottic part and granulation tissue were cleared in the first stage, and the tracheostomy tube was removed after three weeks. The child is doing well now, and he regained his normal voice within a month.
