In this video, I did a quick image quality comparison for both Sony A7iv and the Panasonic S1. Both cameras were shot in 4k 10 bit 422 @ 24fps. They both had the same exact exposure setting and both lenses were 50mm. I also compare both the Sony 50mm F 1.8 and Zeiss 55mm F1.8 to see if there is a difference in image quality. Overall I think you cannot go wrong with either camera but in my personal opinion, I would have to choose the Sony A7IV for the autofocus and overall light/small form factor. As for lens choice for the sony, I would highly recommend both the Sony 50mm and the Zeiss 55mm. They both produce such beautiful image quality and if you're on a budget the Sony 50mm will be the perfect choice for you.
