Meet CM Punk. I feel like a dope even saying those words because almost everybody has at least heard that name, even if they don’t know the first thing about the sport of pro wrestling. Punk is one of the most recognizable people in wrestling history and one of the most decorated. He is the first individual to win a world championship in WWE, AEW and ROH, he has wrestled for every major promotion in the US since 2002, and is partially responsible for some of the greatest matches the industry has ever seen, including his match with John Cena at MITB 2011, his series with Samoa Joe in ROH, his 92 minute classic with Chris Hero in IWA Mid-South, and what many consider to be the greatest dog collar match in wrestling history with MJF in AEW. Before his eventual signing to WWE in 2005, he performed basically everywhere on the independent scene, including a stop in CZW where he had his first and only match in the Combat Zone; and that is what we are going to be covering in today’s video.
