Il Castello di Malpaga è uno dei più importanti edifici longobardi del XIV secolo. Si affaccia su 330 ettari di terreni agricoli nel Parco del Fiume Serio. Il maniero fu costruito da un ghibellino prima dell'avvento della potenza delle armi. Grazie al profondo fossato che lo circondava, il Castello rimase a lungo inattaccabile. Nel 1456 fu acquistato e trasformato dal famoso Capitano Generale della Repubblica di Venezia Bartolomeo Colleoni. Il Castello divenne così il quartier generale del Comandante e fu testimone di importanti eventi storici. The Castle of Malpaga is one of the most important Lombard buildings of the fourteenth century. It overlooks 330 hectares of farmland in the Serio River Park. The manor was built by a Ghibelline before the advent of the power of weapons. Thanks to the deep moat that surrounded it, the Castle remained unassailable for a long time. In 1456 it was purchased and transformed by the famous Captain General of the Republic of Venice Bartolomeo Colleoni.
