Professor Daniel Dawes, a national leader in health equity and health policy, and author of the widely acclaimed book "The Political Determinants of Health," gave a presentation on the yearslong struggle for health equity in the United States to members of the University of Arizona Health Sciences community, including students, faculty, staff, and community members on September 28, 2022 in Tucson, AZ. Dawes, executive director of the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine, shared his vision and strategies to build health equity nationally and globally. The event was coordinated by the UArizona Health Sciences Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and sponsored by the National REACH Coalition, the Zuckerman College of Public Health, and others.
