Asi-among Gite Kone Welfare Committee ground inspection || ongoing PWD road from Patum to rumgong

𝐑𝐮𝐦𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐠,17 February 2026 Siang District: The Asi-among Gite Kone Welfare Committee, Rumgong, conducted a ground inspection of the ongoing PWD road cutting work from Patum to Rumgong. The team raised concerns that the work is not being carried out as per the DPR guidelines. The visit was made following reports and observations from local residents regarding the quality and standard of work on the road stretch up to Ule. The committee also visited the construction site of the new Circuit House at Rumgong to review the progress of the work and to ensure that proper construction standards are maintained. The inspection team was headed by Shri Tajir Tatak, President, along with Shri Tamer Komut, General Secretary; Shri Talik Gamoh, Youth President; Shri Tangir Mije, GBS Union Ritgong Bango; Shri Taram Tatak, Chief Advisor; and Smty Yatop Gao Tatak, Women President. PRI Members, Road Monitoring Committee members, and Department Engineers were also present during the visit. The committee urged the concerned department to strictly follow DPR norms and maintain quality standards in all ongoing developmental works for the benefit and safety of the public.
