About the Instructor : What began as a hobby soon became a passion, as well as a way for Sarah to connect to Middle Eastern and Mediterranean roots. Since moving to Los Angeles, Sarah has studied classical and modern belly dance, Middle Eastern folkloric dance, and Persian dance with acclaimed instructors and choreographers. Sarah currently performs with the West Los Angeles troupe Sirens of the Sahara, the Los Angeles Belly Dance Academy, and the Adam Basma Dance Company. When she isn’t dancing, she’s teaching a room full of kindergarteners, working on her next novel, or playing violin. The L. A. Bellydance Academy is a dance studio that offers dance and music instruction for all ages and all skill level. We focus on providing students with an environment that creates wellness, self expression, and fun. Using Middle Eastern music and dance as a core foundation to our curriculum we are providing our community with weekly instruction, workshops, and special events. The L. A.
