Our group studied the transportation system of Thrissur by tracing movement from the interior neighborhoods to the city’s outer edges. We observed a distinctive transport culture shaped by the absence of traffic signals, minimal honking, mutual understanding between pedestrians and vehicles, disciplined auto-rickshaw operations, and regulated bus schedules. We chose a short film as our medium to capture the city’s everyday rhythm through movement and time. The film was shot entirely on mobile phones, with time-lapse sequences recorded using a tripod to emphasize patterns of circulation. Filming was carried out at Sakthan Thampuran Private Bus Stand, KSRTC Bus Depot, Vadakkechira Bus Stand, and multiple auto stands. While visual documentation was accessible, interviews proved challenging due to language barriers, leading us to rely more on observation and visual narration. The documentary concludes by highlighting how movement in Thrissur is shaped not only by roads and vehicles, but by people. Through observation rather than explanation, the film captures a system governed by rhythm, coordination, and shared responsibility. Created by- Monal Gupta Arth Patel Het Odedra
