8th U.S.-ROK Joint Public-Private Economic Forum

The Scholl Chair in International Business and Project on Trade and Technology will cohost the 8th annual U.S.-ROK Joint Public-Private Economic Forum on October 2nd. The Forum will run from 9:00 am to 11:00 am ET. The event will be held at the Georgia Institute of Technology Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta, Georgia (800 Spring Street NW) and will also be livestreamed. In-person space is limited and registration will close once the room is full. The forum will consist of keynote addresses from Under Secretary Jose W. Fernandez and Vice Minister Kang Insun on the importance of the Republic of Korea-U.S. business relationship and the strength of our trade and investment ties. U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff (D-GA), who has led three Economic Delegations to the Republic of Korea, will provide a keynote address on his efforts to strengthen economic and diplomatic relations between the U.S. and ROK, including helping recruit Foreign Direct Investment to the State of Georgia, representing Georgia's Korean American community, and establish the U.S. Senate Korea Caucus. In addition, there will be two high-level panels, one on strengthening critical technology supply chains and the other on leveraging green technologies in the clean energy transition. Peter Harrell, former Senior Director for International Economics and Competitiveness in the National Security Council, will provide closing remarks.
