I open the books and show real income and expenses, including where the money is going, what’s improving, and what’s been more challenging than expected. In the first two months, we’ve increased income, but online bookings have only increased by four additional reservations, which has been disappointing considering the amount of capital and effort we’ve put in so far. Even with updates and improvements, total income has stayed relatively close to what it was under previous ownership, and I break down exactly why. We’ve invested heavily to prepare for the busy season: • $8,500 spent on one building • Over $10,000 spent on another building Right now, vacancy is still high — but that’s intentional. This market experiences a large increase in demand during the summer months, and we’re adding and improving units now so we’re ready to handle higher occupancy and maximize revenue when traffic picks up.
