2022 World Pipe Band Championships: Grade 1 winner announcement + some of the march offs

Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band under the leadership of Pipe Major Richard Parks are announced as the overall winners of the Grade One Competition at the 2022 World Pipe Band Championships held on Glasgow Green on 12 and 13 August. Other prizewinning bands included are: 01:21 Major Sinclair Memorial Pipe Band, Ballyclare 01:35 Dollar Academy Pipe Bands 01:59 Kilbarchan Pipe Band 02:23 Drum Majors, Closkelt and Gransha Pipe Bands 03:11 Kildoag Pipe Band 03:24 Johnstone Pipe Bands 03:46 Ravara Pipe Band 04:14 Tullylagan Pipe Band The World Pipe Band Championships are organised by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association. Fourteen bands competed in Grade One - the highest grade for competitive pipe bands. In Grade One four competitions were held over two days. The bands amass a total of 16 gradings for piping, drumming and ensemble awarded by 16 judges (4 for each competition). The band with the lowest total gradings wins.
