Malachi 3:10-12 gives us several benefits of tithing under the Levitical priesthood. This book of Malachi was never addressed to post-Calvary New Testament believers; it was written to specifically rebuke Levites who were withholding the tithe from the household of Aaron. The entire book of Malachi was written for one main purpose: to make the people of Israel (especially the Levites) remember the Law of Moses - Malachi 4:4. Without a shadow of doubt, there are some very powerful spiritual benefits which will begin to flow our way when we shift from the Malachi 3:8-12 tithing model to the Genesis 14:17-20 or Hebrews 7:1-10 tithing model. The spiritual benefits of tithing into the priestly Order of Melchizedek are infinitely greater than the spiritual benefits of tithing into the Levitical priesthood.
