I don't know why I overthought that. • The former Chicago Blackhawks video coach, Brad Aldrich, "has never faced charges for his alleged abuse of Blackhawks players, but in December 2013, he pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct in a case involving a 16-year-old high school hockey player in Michigan. So, that means Avery was eliminated at the first possible opportunity. • The notorious incident with Brian Trottier and Kevin Stevens yelling misogynist and homophobic insults at Brian Bellows was from the 1991 Stanley Cup Finals, not the early 1980s.
