Itchy Scalp? Let’s Explore Seborrheic Dermatitis and Psoriasis

In this video, seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis, two similar skin conditions, are explored. Due to its similarities, both conditions are often confused with one another and is sometimes used interchangeably. The purpose of this video is to distinguish between seborrheic dermatitis and psoriasis, through understanding its symptoms, etiology, and treatments. While both conditions can appear in various locations around the face and body, this video will solely focus on its localization on the scalp. This video was made by McMaster University students Caitlin O'Regan, Devyanee Mehta, Grace Ogundeji, and Mariyam Mohammed in in collaboration with the Demystifying Medicine McMaster Program.
