HOW TO RIDE A DIRTBIKE: MOST COMMON BEGINNER RIDING MISTAKES In this weeks Sedlak Offroad School Motocross riding tip Daniel Sedlak goes over some of the most common mistake most dirt bike riders make when they are starting out on the Motocross track. 1. WHERE TO SIT First Daniel goes over where to sit on your dirt bike when you are trying to corner. It is important to sit in the front of the Motocross bike to make sure you are in full control while going through a turn. 2. Gripping the dirt bike with your feet/knees Another mistake that is easy to correct. Opening up your knees and pointing your feet out will make you loose contact with the Motocross bike. Always make sure you are riding on the palm of your feet with your toes pointing inwards and grip the dirt bike with your knees. 3. Elbows You control your Motocross bike with your legs and your upper body. The correct elbow position is crucial to you getting around the track safe and fast 4. Legs When you are turning your dirt bike you are taking your foot of the foot peg. It is important to put your leg forward and up and not just drag behind your Motocross bike.
