Queen Salote Tupou the III traveled to England for the Queen of England's Coronation in 1950. Peni Tutu'ila, a famous poet and artist from the island of 'Uiha, composed this song. This is the original song sung by the Fangufangumana 'o Fusipala, an acoustic band consisting of my late Father in law Sefanaia Melinoetau Kinikini, and a few others that I will update when I get their names. A side note: When the late Fusipala visited Portland, Oregon, a while back, she stayed in our house. Every night the boys would come and sing her to sleep. She named their little band Fangugfangumana 'O Fusipala. It was Kali Fakatoulava Kinikini, Semisi Mohetau, Patrick Kalamafoni, and Tou'anga Langi. I forgot the other one, will update when I get the name. I didn't know that my late father-in-law was one of the original Fangufangumana 'O Fusipala. Music lives on, and the legacy of those who have passed on lives in our hearts.
