Mumbai Dabbawalas at Churchgate In this video, I take a ride on the Mumbai Aqualine Metro, the first underground line in the city. The line was last updated in October 2025 and takes passengers from the Colaba district all the way up to Aarey to the north of the airport. I was amazed to discover that each ticket only costs 20 rupees, which works out at about $0.20, an incredible bargain for a brand new metro system. I take the metro to the famous Churchgate station just in time to find the Dabbawallas at work. These lunch delivery men have been operating in Mumbai for over 100 years and we found them just as they were about to head off around the city.
