The 17th karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje | First UK Visit 2016

His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, is the head of the 900 year old Karma Kagyu Lineage and guide to millions of Buddhists around the world. Born in 1985, the Karmapa resides in his temporary home at Gyuto Monastery in India after making a dramatic escape from Tibet in the year 2000. Ballistic Video were specially commissioned by Wise Jewel Ltd (organisers of the visit) to film and create a special documentary marking this historic visit to the United Kingdom. Filmed over a week with a two person camera team, shooting in relay between locations as his entourage moved around London and with only one opportunity in the schedule to conduct an interview, we're really pleased with the results and to have been part of this historic visit.
