The Markaz of F-6 is the central commercial area, also widely known as Super Market. F-6 sector is divided into 4 residential sub-sectors (F-6/1, F-6/2, F-6/3, F-6/4), each with a small market, and all sub-sectors are oriented around the central Markaz. --- 🏗 Development & Naming When Islamabad was being planned and developed, sectors F-6 and F-7 were prioritized in terms of development—roads, infrastructure, amenities—so they were among the more quickly developed and “favoured” sectors. The name Super Market was popularly used by traders in F-6 Markaz. It stuck and is still frequently used. There was some rivalry or comparison between F-6 Markaz and F-7 Markaz. F-7’s Markaz eventually also got the name Jinnah Super (Jinnah Super Market), partly in distinction. --- 🌳 Location & Structure Sector F-6 is located at the foothills of the Margalla Hills. It is surrounded by important roads like Margalla Road (North), Nazim-ud-Din Road (South), Agha Khan Road, Atatürk Avenue, Garden Road etc. Each sub-sector has its own small market: for example, F-6/3 has Kohsar Market, F-6/1 has Farooqia Market, etc.
