UC Law SF 2024 Commencement

UC Law SF celebrated its Class of 2024 during the College’s 143rd commencement, with about 420 graduates receiving their degrees at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on May 13, 2024. The keynote speaker was the Chief United States Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Mary Helen Murguia, who shared her law school experience as a first-generation graduate. Chair of the UC Law San Francisco Board of Directors, Simona Agnolucci ’06 opened the ceremony. Chancellor and Dean David L. Faigman, welcomed friends and family of graduates and congratulated the graduating class of 2024. Remarks from student speakers included valedictorian Catherine Nasi, Mikayla Domingo and student body President Kyle Freeman. They spoke about the determination of their class following the pandemic and the impactful lives and careers they are about to embark upon. Before students took the stage to receive their degrees, University of California Office of the President Deputy General Counsel, Legal Policy and Operations and UC Law SF alum Kelly Drumm ’94 initiated the conferral and presentation of degrees to the graduating class. Prof. Stefano Moscato, recipient of the 2024 Rutter Award for Teaching Excellence, gave closing remarks and shared important things to take away with them on their post law school career.
