Fired federal workers press Oregon lawmakers at Portland town hall

Federal workers called on Oregon lawmakers Monday to take action and stop cuts to government agencies at a town hall meeting in Portland. The Department of Government Efficiency, also known as DOGE, has been cutting back on federal spending by downsizing agencies across the board. The federal workers that spoke at Monday's town hall looked to their representatives for answers. Oregon Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley were in attendance, along with U.S. Representatives Suzanne Bonamici, Val Hoyle, Andrea Salinas and Maxine Dexter. The state’s Attorney General Dan Rayfield was also there to answer questions.
