Grayson's Art Club | Artists and their Studios - Hannah Middleton

A major exhibition by much-loved British artist Grayson Perry is open at the Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) in Birmingham from December 2022 until June 2023. The exhibition features artworks chosen by Grayson and guest celebrities during season three of the popular TV series, Grayson’s Art Club. We commissioned Filmmaker Ben Crawford to produce this film, one of 5 that feature alongside selected artists in the exhibition. This film features Hannah Middleton, an artist who makes art as a hobby and is Birmingham based. In this film, we learn about the things that inspire Hannah, and take a look inside her extraordinary art-bedroom! The programme by Swan Films for ‪@Channel4‬ began in lockdown, encouraging audiences across the nation to express their creativity through art. During each episode, members of the public, established artists and celebrities have been invited to make artworks in response to the different themes – in the current series, the focus has been on Love, Heroes and Heroines, Normal Life, Inside my Head, Holidays and The Future. Artworks submitted by the public have covered a wide variety of mediums, such as photography, painting, textiles and sculpture. Grayson Perry said: “MAC in Birmingham is the perfect venue for our third Art Club exhibition.
