Howdy there, neighbors. Ian with etrailer here. Today we're gonna be looking at our 2023 Hyundai Palisade and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Hitch. Let's get right into some details, and then the installation after. Taking a look at the hitch, it is reinforced on the outside. It's got this nice lip to it. I think that's a great visual feature as far as this. And mentioning visual, it also does hide the crossbar so it's not visible from the back of the vehicle. All you're gonna see is just the main portion of the hitch sticking out here. Looks great without having to really do any trimming. It is a little snug up against the back of the bumper here, but in my opinion, I wouldn't want to have to trim all that down just in case I didn't feel like having a hitch on the vehicle anymore. You wouldn't want anything missing out of that. It does come with this two inch by two inch open shank hole here. And then our nice, easy to access chain loops for your safety chains. So no issue of having to put any kind of real D-ring on there to access them. Some of the other hitches will sit up a little bit higher to where you won't be able to get to these safety chain links as easily, you may have to put D-rings on them. But this one doesn't have that problem. This is meant for a five eights hitch pin here. It does not come with one. Most of your accessories are gonna come with one, but if you needed maybe a locking hitch pin, if you've got a bike rack on there and you want to keep that safe, do check out etrailer.com for those. We've got a good selection of locking options as well. A couple measurements to keep in mind for clearance issues, from the ground to the top portion of the hitch on the inside here, we're running just about 15 inches. And then from our center hole here to the edge of the bumper, we're running about three inches. This one just sit a little bit further back, so clearance of any of your accessories coming off of this or your hitch for your trailer may be an issue, you may wanna look at risers or something, just to extend that out far enough to clear that bumper. And just go over weight ratings real quick. Without weight distribution, you're looking at 5,000 pounds for your gross trailer weight rating. And then 500 on your tongue weight, which is gonna be pressured down on that if it does have the distribution that bumps up to 6,000 and then 750 for the tongue weight. So something to keep in mind. With those measurements though, you always want to double check your owner's manual for the vehicle manufacturer specs for the hitch, and just go with the lowest number between either the hitch itself's rating, or the vehicle's rating. Now that we've taken a look at all the features, we're gonna get into the install, but beforehand, I wanted to mention kind of timeframe of this install and intensity of the install. It's not really that bad, it's just keeping all of your hardware in place, and of course, accessing this passenger side here is a little bit more difficult just because you've got the exhaust in the way. But I'll show you how to get all that done, and let's hop right into that install. So we've gone ahead and dropped the spare tire so we've got access to the area here where the hitch is gonna live. Next we're going to pull these three poppets out of this plastic cover. If you don't have one of these tools, you can either pick one up from us, or one of your local parts or hardware stores. And once we've got all three of those removed, it's already a little loose because I've taken one of the plastic nuts up here loose, but I'll show you on the other one. With these 14 millimeter plastic nuts, you may have to apply a little pressure to the plastic shield here in order to get those to start threading down, but you'll just come down with those and this whole shield will drop. Then to gain a little bit more access, I am gonna drop this rear exhaust. There's three different hangers, but I do want something supporting that, so that way it's not just resting on that front section of exhaust there. There's no real hangers in between, so we wouldn't wanna put too much pressure on that. As far as hanging that up here in the cross member, there's just a couple holes that you'll be able to access. I've got one here that I'm gonna go to, and then I'm just g
