Recorder Music Avid HD i/o Output vs MacBook Pro With Pro Tools At Home Studio. Here I am testing a Avid HD i/o output vs a MacBook Pro output with Pro Tools to determine which is better. I took an Roland R-O5 and recorded a song name Turn On Me twice, one coming out of Pro Tools 10 to the HD Native Card, to the Analog HD I/O to the Dangerous Music DBox and out to the Monitors. The other came out of the MacBook Pro audio output to the Dangerous Music DBox and out to the monitors. As I listened to it thought headphones, i realized that kick and snared was coming out of the HD I/O was more punchy and the cymbals were more out. The flute sounded more thick but with the MacBook Pro output sounded as it was in a mp3 format and the other sounded more in a Wav format. So what i have learned is that by using high quality gears make a big different, especially if your going to be putting it on different websites such as YouTube, Facebook, SoundCloud...... The gears i used: Canon xha1 Golden Age Project 73 Api 512c AKG c414 (Recording Vocal) Adobe premiere cc 2017 Avid c24
