Türkiye, Hisar-A ve Hisar-O'yu hedeflenenden daha yüksek kabiliyetlere kavuşturdu. Alçak irtifa hava savunma sistemi Hisar-A ile15, orta irtifa hava savunma sistemi Hisar-O ile 25 kilometreye kadar etkinlik sağlamayı öngören Türkiye, gelinen noktada söz konusu sistemleri hedeflenenden daha yüksek kabiliyetlere kavuşturdu. ASELSAN ve ROKETSAN tarafından geliştirilen sistemler için test ve geliştirme yanında yerlileştirme çalışmaları yürütülüyor. Daha önce yurt dışından temin edilen yaklaşma sensörünün karakteri ve yapısı değiştirilerek ROKETSAN tarafından üretilmeye başlandı. Böylece bu konudaki dışa bağımlılık son bulacak. Yıl sonu itibarıyla yerli yaklaşma sensörü üretilerek, nihai olarak kullanıma sunulacak hava savunma sistemlerinde bu ürün yer alacak. Bunun yanında güvenlik güçlerinden gelen istekler doğrultusunda Hisar hava savunma sistemi daha da geliştirildi. Bu çalışmalarda hedef setlerinin değişen kabiliyetleri de dikkate alınarak sistemlere yeni yetenekler kazandırıldı. Sonuç olarak güvenlik güçlerine Hisar-A ve Hisar-O’nun ötesinde; menzili, irtifası ve kabiliyetleri artırılmış Hisar-A+ ve Hisar-O+ teslim edilecek. Bunun yanında Siper olarak adlandırılan Hisar-U'ya giden yolda aradaki boşlukları dolduracak çalışma yapılıyor. Hisar-A yakın zamanda seri üretim aşamasına gelirken, Hisar hava savunma sistemlerinin çeşitli bileşenleri bu yılın ikinci yarısında Suriye sınırında konuşlandırıldı.
