NEXT & RASK present: Festival for Spontaneous Arts, concert 1. Mengi, Reykjavik on October 1, 2021. In autumn 2021, RASK invited 10 artists from Iceland, Norway and Slovakia to participate in a short residency at Mengi in Reykjavik. The results of the residency were presented at the Festival for Spontaneous Arts; a 1-day festival focused on multidisciplinary improvisation. The entire festival was recorded by Agalma. The first concert consisted of the following acts: #1 - Erika Coyle and Sigríður Birna Matthíasdóttir #2 - Anna Čonková, Heida Karine Johannesdottir and Ragnar Árni Ólafsson #3 - Anna Čonková, Daniel Meyer Grønvold, Heida Karine Johannesdottir, Sigríður Birna Matthíasdóttir and Örlygur Arnalds The Festival for Spontaneous Arts is a part of NOISS (Norway–Iceland–Slovakia): New Musics for New Audiences. The NOISS project benefits from a € 192 300 grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norwaz through the EEA Grants. The project has been co-financed from the State Budget of the Slovak Republic in the amount of € 28 845, and by Tónlistarsjóður Rannís for activities in Iceland.
