Kanwariyas On Rampage: Bus, Shops Vandalised From Meerut To Haridwar; Cops Attacked In Kanpur

A series of vandalism incidents involving Kanwariyas has been reported from multiple locations including Meerut, Haridwar, and Kanpur. In Meerut, a school bus was vandalised, while in Haridwar, multiple shops were damaged. The situation escalated in Kanpur where Kanwariyas clashed with the police. The confrontation in Kanpur reportedly began over a misunderstanding that a policeman had pushed one of the Kanwariyas, leading to a group of 80-90 people vandalising a police station. In response to the violence, police have taken action. A key development is the police response in Kanpur: "32 people have been named in the FIR, 12 have been named, and 20 people have been identified on the basis of which, 5 people have been sent to jail."
