Hi everyone! Welcome to The Rallyist Blog. Over the past couple of years since my show on /DRIVE, I have been brainstorming ideas on how to get my content back out to the people who enjoy watching it. This isn't the perfect answer, but it's a start. The idea behind the format of these videos is simplicity. I'm doing all the work, and I'm operating only one camera and a go-pro. So sorry in advance that there aren't a large variety of shots. The overwhelming goal of The Rallyist Blog is to tell a good story. And the do-it-yourself simplicity gives me an avenue to continue sharing stories to you while I'm competing, traveling, etc without loosing a lot of money on production. These videos are done on my time, for fun. I'm not making money off of anything. The videos themselves aren't even monetized. There should not be any ads. Enjoy, but be patient. If you like the style, please let me know, and help by sharing the adventure with someone you know. Or, just buy an old car and join a rallycross event! Or both. In this first episode I travel back to one of my favorite SCCA Rallycross venues, Walczyks Farm, for a two day event. You may remember it from episode five of My Life as a Rallyist. We competed at night at the farm, and then made our way a few miles down the road to Rolling Wheels Raceway (a track that when it gets wet, is no longer a track - it's more of a playpen for pigs). This time I'm playing in two very different Subarus. The first one is a 1991 Justy with three cylinders and about 50hp. And the second one is a world rally blue 2004 STI with a bit over 300hp. There's a world of difference between the two cars, but both put an equal smile on my face! Enjoy. Thanks for watching! -Ryan
