Duo MESS: "Sonntag" / Official Music Video / Song Contest 1982

Celebrating 35 years of legendary Austrian Song Contest entry "Sonntag" by Mess. Watch the official music video in full length and HQ audio quality, for the very first time in a carefully and slightly restored digital format. Video was shot live at ORF Studios in Vienna, Kueniglberg, on national preselection show. By televoting, the colourful and energetic performance was picked to represent Austria at the Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson in Harrogate. For the Song Contest night in May 1982, the choeography was boosted with even more enthusiasm. Finishing 9th in the ESC, the song was a massive no. 1 hit in the Austrian charts. Mess were formed by singer-songwirter-producer Michael Scheickl and singing TV-presenter Elisabeth Engstler. Both are still active in music, solo and (re-)united as Schlager-Icon Duo Mess.
