Recorded and designed a huge mix of some of my favourite classic trance trax from the late 90s and early 2000s - mixed all in key, slowly progressing in energy and moving through various different sounds, from bright and euphoric, progressive and melodic, moody and atmospheric and hard and fast 💿 the modern equivalent of classical music with its heavy use of melody / harmony / reptition, designed to boost every pleasure chemical in the brain I’ve been interested for a while in early 3D from the same era and how it’s so tied to electronic music of the time. While late 90s ambient jungle is linked to otherwordly 3D landscapes and textures (   • jungle atmospherics - late 90s ambient / a...  ) Trance in my head is connected to sleek, curvy and futuristic abstract shapes very distinctive of turn of the millenium design, especially on rave flyers. I learnt how to create this kind of art on Blender and made some renders to visualise the mix, tweaked to get the authentic look. I also designed a CD of the mix inspired by CD and record designs from the original tracks, and featuring the renders I made to accompany the mix inside (You can watch how I made everything here -    • trance euphoria design process  ).
