#standwithanimation #cartoonnetwork To celebrate/ignoring (and I mean REALLY ignoring) the upcoming Inauguration day, here's a compilation of the voting results (so far) from Cartoon Network's Cartoon Campaign 2000's Inauguration Weekend (aired on March 18, 2000). Cartoon Campaign 2000 was the first installment of Cartoon Network's presidential election, preceding Cartoon Network's 2004 Election. "Political" ads for the 50 candidates began airing on January 15, 2000 and viewers could vote for their favorite candidate online. Candidates included cartoon characters such as Fred Flintstone, Dexter, Bugs Bunny, Brak, and Scooby-Doo. Over 50 candidates for president were considered, and each had an episode of their show played during a 10-hour marathon on the final day of the election alongside promos for their platforms that played fairly often leading up to it. Contents of voting results in Part 1: (38. Tiny Toons) 37. Hong Kong Phooey 36. Secret Squirrel 35. Pixie and Dixie and Mr. Jinks 34. Porky Pig 33. Josie and the Pussy Cats 32. Popeye 31.
