A crane has arrived on the scene along with Miller Heavy Wrecker. It is going to take several hours to rig the crane and then load the extremely long trailer. Then on Tuesday, two cranes will be out and 105 will be closed again as the 216,000-pound transformer is loaded. Eastbound traffic is backed up for miles from Waukegan. Most of that is trucks and oversize loads which cannot turn around. Westbound is backed up from FM 1484. The oversize load was carrying a transformer when a pin broke and the auto-steer on the rear took it off the road. The trailer then hit a utility pole taking down the main power transmission lines. Once the truck is moved crews need to replace the power pole and restring the overhead high-voltage power lines.
