In a world full of Porsche 911 restomods, it's quite refreshing to see something a little different. The KALMAR 9x9 may be built on a 993 911 chassis, but it pays tribute to a Porsche that was generations ahead of its time. The wonderfully over-engineered 959. When we got the call from Jan Kalmar, founder of KALMAR Automotive (‪@kalmarautomotive‬) asking if we'd like to be the first to experience the 9x9 as a full-driving prototype, we couldn't say no. The 9x9 is a hypercar that is designed to be no garage queen. It demands to be driven. And so, to display the car in London for its debut, we joined Jan from Milan, that's right, Milan, as he drives the $2.15 million hypercar through some treacherous conditions. It may be comfortable on a motorway, but just knowing that it can get you from 0-60mph in around 2 seconds demands your respect.
