If you know us, you'd know we are absolutely crazy about snowboarding. Our most recent snowboarding trip was in Japan, and we arranged to snowboard on 4 mountains. Our first 4 days were spent on Mount Tomamu, one of the newer and less well-known ski areas in Hokkaido. Tomamu ski area is opened and mainly operated by Hoshino luxury resorts group, though we stayed at Club Med Tomamu all-inclusive ski resort. Club Med guests can get full access to the entire ski-area and also take free ski/snowboard lessons with Club Med instructors. Not only Mount Tomamu has the classic Japan's dry powder, it really isn't flooded with people, especially on the higher grounds where the more advanced runs are.
